The differences between working on vs working in…

Working on your business:
– Your business plan – writing it, working on it and finalising it.
– At the beginning of your start up your time should be 100% on working on your business.
– New ideas to innovate your business – systemisation, approving existing or adding new systems.
– Always striving to problem solve and make things smoother.
– Growth – comes from time you can spend working on your business.

Working in your business:
– You start working in your business when you start earning money.
– When you get to this phase you should be 90% working in and 10% working on your business.
– Outcome satisfied customers, suppliers and staff.
– Production of product or service and delivery.

The great risk is being all consumed by working in your business and forgetting to take time to work on your business.

As always, thank you for listening! Beth
